A great way to spend date night is catching up with friends over dinner and drinks at one of Brisbane’s many gorgeous bars.
This week’s selection is a little different – we have selected our favourite spots with a kids’ menu for those of you who are looking to take your family out as well! Here is this week’s What’s hot in Brisbane date night picks:
1) The Fox Hotel Brisbane – with a kids’ menu that includes macaroni and cheese, chips and chicken nuggets, there is something for everyone. There are also some great gourmet burgers on the main menu as well as items for those who would prefer vegetarian options. This is one of our favourite venues to meet up with friends after work – they have happy hour every day from 5-6pm to help you get your night started off early!
2) Drinks at Camelot Lounge – this bar has a range of cocktails and wines. They do not have a food menu but provide complimentary nuts and olives and allow you to bring your own food if you wish – we recommend pizza from next door!
3) Woodstock Bar and Kitchen – Woodstock has a really cool vibe and a variety of beer, wine and cocktails. The food menu includes share plates which are perfect for date night! There is also a kids’ menu available that includes chicken nuggets, mini burgers and pizza slices.
4) Bitter Suite – this bar has a range of beers from across Australia as well as some great wines on offer by the glass or bottle. The authentic Italian pizzas are delicious but there are other options on the menu if you want something different. This venue is BYO so bring your favourite bottle along to enjoy with dinner!
5) Drinks at Limes Hotel – we love stopping in at Limes Hotel to enjoy their extensive list of craft beers on tap – there is something for everyone on the menu. The food menu includes a range of sharing options as well as steak and burgers – all delicious! We recommend you dine on the balcony if possible as it has great views over the Brisbane River.
6) Limes Hotel’s Riverside Bar – this bar has one of those amazing CBD views that everyone loves! Tucked away from the hustle and bustle, it is a great spot for some drinks after work or even during lunch break for those who prefer an alfresco experience. There are also some tasty share plates available to enjoy with your drink or a full lunch during daylight hours.
7) Queensport Tavern – situated on Sandgate Road in Hamilton, this venue is great for catching up with friends and we love their cocktail jugs! There is also a pool table in the venue which often attracts groups of people after work. The menu includes some classic pub dishes like nachos and burgers as well as dinner specials which change regularly.
8) Le Bon Choix – this modern French patisserie and cafe has a great atmosphere to enjoy breakfast, brunch or lunch. They have great coffee and serve fresh croissants, baguettes and macarons every day. They also do catering if you are looking for something different than your average food at home routine!
